Saudi Arabia was the only country where women were not allowed to drive vehicles. The ban was based on religious thinking considering the women inferior to men those women who tried to break the law were punished they were dismissed from their jobs, denounced in the local newspaper and banned from traveling out of the country some even faced imprisonment. But as per recent news, King Salman has announced the women could apply for a driving license and the ban will be totally lifted by next summer. Still, there are many restrictions on women in Saudi but this news has given them a hope that they will get freedom as rest of the women in world enjoy.
