I wish I could turn back time.  I wish I could go back and just be  young.

There were instances that immediately came to mind right after reading the questions. Really several and vividly came across my mind and it just made me wanna go back in time. But out of those, I chose to be young, so young. I just wanted to go back to my "so young" days. I love "The Corrs" and this is one of their songs, "So Young". I love it, well that's just me, if its an upbeat, then I definitely love it. I want to feel young, I want to be so young, so full of energy and full of time. So let's go back to the time when I was so young, so young then...

I will definitely go back to my childhood days specifically my elementary days. Those days were my fondest moments where life back then was so simple, no traffic, no corruption, no drugs, no complications. Life at its best, lived to its fullest. I have such wonderful childhood days that's why I always, always wanted to reminisce it and go back as much as time would allow me to. I can recall everything about my younger years, yeah even those not so fun but I think I have more funny moments compared to the not-so-funny ones. Now that I am a certified adult to that effect, I feel like I just want to go back being a child again. I miss the slowness of time, the nostalgic ambiance of every afternoon, the laziness of every weekend, the breath of fresh air, the greenness of the fields, the bright blue skies and the completeness of our family.  If only I could turn back time.

Why would this change cause you to be grateful?

Well, this change would definitely cause me to be grateful because as a kid, I listened to my parents and I obeyed them, of course out of fear (my tatay is a spanker) and it really hurts being spanked. My father uses his belt or a flat bamboo stick to spank us (me and my brother). I remembered so well when our father commanded us to sleep every after lunch. It is a command that I sometimes disobey because I love to play in the afternoon. I should have listened to him and obeyed him as much as I can. I now really wanted to sleep everyday of each noon hahaha. Now even if I wanted to sleep at noon I can't because I have so much to do, lots of things to finish. I have to prioritize my family and sleeping is not an option nowadays. I feel so deprived of sleep and I miss my tatay all the more. But I am still grateful because I still have time to sleep when classes and work are suspended. It may not be enough but it is sufficient for me to recharge and to keep up with this fast-paced world. And because of that experience, I see to it that it will not happen to my kids. I will not deprive them of sleep. I praise and thank God for my wonderful childhood because I will make sure that my kids will experience a life at its best and they will live it to the full. In spite of having an incomplete family, only by God's grace.
