### **How steemit.com looks like right now ?**

As I open the **steemit.com** landing page (named *Trending*), it looks like a vast ocean of chaos. The only other pages available on *steemit* are *New, Hot, Promoted and my feed*. They all look equally jumbled and meaningless. See for yourself:

### Why do these pages feel unorganized?  

These pages have gems on *fiction*, *science*, *cryptocurrency*, *travel* mixed with worst possible posts about *yummy octopus*, *Syria* and *bitcoin exchanges*. When I try to look at my feed for 5 minutes, I feel like battling my instincts to look for *order* elsewhere on the internet say *facebook* or *quora*. **In short, articles are of poor quality and not organized properly**. 


### ChainBB: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly  

The **problem of organization** has been solved in a limited way by *chainBB.com*.  However, the problem of **quality** still remains. The landing page shows various forums:

As we enter any forum, we again encounter chaos. **The top posts in *Creative Arts category* are all in *Malay* Language.** I do not wish to see any language other than English. It just disrupts my flow!

### The Solution to this Chaos

1. **Smaller Websites based on Genre**   
The only solution to this chaos is that steemit must diversify into smaller entities. Separate websites for general-science, news, tech-geeks, nature, photography, arts, creative, etc. *utopian.io* is a good example of the same.  

2. **Separate websites for separate languages**  
The most unsavory thing about steemit is clubbing of different languages. Many times my feed has posts in Chinese, Malay and Korean. I do not understand any of them and feel really annoyed.

3. **Moderation on all Smaller Websites**  
All smaller websites must be controlled by an eminent developer in a sense that it becomes his/her baby. He engages talent as website administrators and moderators who ensure that content of requisite quality and relevant language gets published. Core developers and early investors of Steemit must delegate steem power to these eminent developers for the overall benefit of steem blockchain.

4. **Advertising in smaller websites (Optional)**  
Non-intrusive and well-placed advertising will increase the worth of the smaller platforms as well as the value of steem.

4. **One master website with all the legacy data**   
We may have a single master website with all content ever created in an extensively searchable format. This website must have enhanced search features and minimal support for other activities.

### Advantages:  

1. Engaged users spend more time on the platform.
2. The bounce rate decreases as websites are properly managed and well organized.
3. Formation of communities: Small groups of people with similar interests interact on a smaller platform more effectively.
4. These smaller platforms may increase their overall revenue through non-intrusive and well-placed advertisements and sponsored content.
5. Overall improvement in the content of steem blockchain.
