Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 9/12/2018 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 9/12/2018

### So I mentioned yesterday Steem was building ground 👍 and getting steady which is a good sign if you want the price to go upwards, well today Steem was very steady if your a buyer it would of been very difficult to find any good times to buy... actually there wasn't really any good time to buy today I think, Steem was already at its cheapest. If we look at Bitcoin it was pretty much steady until around ⏰13.00 when it started upwaving from $3411 and by ⏰17.10 we saw Bitcoin at $3626. So that means that Steem as also gone up, we saw the first sign at ⏰11.45 but most of us only caught on by ⏰13.45, that's when Steem was actually going upwards. This whole movement was expected and as followed the previous pattern and so we could start seeing some more movement by tomorrow 👍 if it continues on from the same pattern as it also took about a day to see in which direction we were going. So we could still see Bitcoin going further down if it continues on the same path. For buyers its time to be very patient about making your next move and I know how difficult it is to sit and wait while the risks of missing out are so high now. But with these prices I welcome you into this survival mode era of Steemit.com, there was a staff reduction of %70 and a possible shutdown of the site. This was the news from Ned 12 days ago this happened because Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's own value to tank downward. There was a live get-together for discussing what would happen going forward. The conclusion is to survive by cutting down costs e.g the "api.steemit.com" functionalities will be moved to the hivemind service, to replicate the expected behaviour of BMIC but have it backed-up by RocksDB, among many other strategies. User Blocktrades had a solution for Steem INC but there was obviously costs to doing this I think it was like $250.000. Steem INC declined the offer and will do the job themselves 👍 no problem after all this is their baby. Now the really good news is with recent development Ned left a message saying we should be in a place where our survival through the bear market should be pretty much possible. We are suppose to have another meeting but due to Ned not feeling well the meeting as been postponed for another few days time.
