방탄소년단이 그래미 신인상 후보에서 제외됐군요.

기사를 읽어보시는 분들은 얼마 안되실테니 요약을 하자면, 

빌보드 200 1위 앨범을 2개나 소유하고 있어 제외됐다고 하네요.

거기다 2018년에만 총 70곡을 발표한 다작도 영향을 준걸로 보입니다.

그래미 어워드 내부 규칙에 신인상 후보는 3개의 앨범 또는 30개 이하의 곡을 발표한 가수를 대상으로 한다는 조항이 있다고 해요.

기사 내용에 다작이 문제인지 1위 앨범 2개가 문제인지 명확하지 않게 서술이 되어있어서 좀 거시기한데...

어쨌건 평생 한번 받을 수 있는 그래미 어워드 신인상 후보에서는 탈락한 것 같습니다.

솔직히 저는 방탄소년단 노래 한 곡도 모르지만... 

그래도 아쉬운 일이기는 합니다.

하지만 그래미어워드가 지금처럼 최고 권위를 유지한 이유는 역시 이번처럼

엄격한 규칙을 스스로 깨지않고 지켜온 것에 있지 않나 싶습니다.

국내에서는 음원차트 조작이니 뭐니 해서 시끄럽기도 했고, 

그렇다 보니 차트 자체에 갖는 불신 + 포털 검색어도 불신.

연말 시상식도 영 결과가 찜찜한 경우가 상당수죠.

뭔가 더 투명하게 집행될 수 있는 도구가 필요하지 않을까 싶네요.

신인상을 놓치는건 좀 아쉽지만...

그래도 BTS가 뭐 하나는 건지지 않을까 하는 기대감이 있네요.

10년전만해도 K-pop 이라는 것 자체에 의구심을 품었었는데...

역시 한우물을 파면 뭘해도 되기는 되나 봅니다 ㅎㅎ
