Philippines is one of the least explored animated place in the entertainment industry. Who knew that they have some of the good stories to tell? So the trese is the story originated from the animated studio with the teams and the actors from the Philippines. 

So let's discuss Trese - animated Horror which was aired onto the Netflix recently.

### Story

It all starts with the setup where humans and the various beings in the planet are cohabiting and seems to be following a code of conduct on what to do with each other to maintain the peace. And then the bloodshed and the breaking of the rules begins. Trese here is like your Constantine like figure except she tend to be on borderline van helseing like development. The story from the start to end is pretty interesting too.

### Animation

You may find that a lot of animation of the Philippines can remind you of the Japanese setup. And often the horror is lot different and less violent there. That could be intentional I assume. I personally think that they have done pretty interesting job there in terms of graphics and animation.

I'd say they have also balanced animation and not a lot of fancy particle effects and stuff which they could have used. Though a lot of Netflix animation excessively use them. I am sure you have seen a lot of particle effect spam in the Love Robot series. Something like that is not here and you get simple yet clean animation.

I loved the animation and also the story is pretty good. The story around the war god has been documented in almost every asian culture. So taking that and using it as a part of the grand scheme in the story was well done. 

If you are new to the horror animations from asia, I'd recommend you to give Trese a try :)
