Steepshot is asking for delegation, but lack of business prospect |Steepshot：正在寻求赞助商，但商业前景不看好

Steepshot is a decentralized version of Instagram built on Steem blockchain. Their slogan "Share moments. Earn coins." lower the threshold of posting and expectation of earning, which looks simpler for everyone. Unlike most DApps on Steem blockchain, Steepshot does not receive any steem power delegation from @misterdelegation, so they are now looking for power from whales to support the project. According to this chart, 15% of the post payout will be collected by Steepshot, in which 10% will go to the platform and 5% will go to investors. Users only get 85% of the reward. New users will get Steepshot's upvotes, but when they reach a maximum number of upvotes from Steepshot to help them on board, no more new upvotes. In a sense Steepshot put more emphasis on attracting new users, and taking cuts from existing users.

It does not look like a good strategy, as new users may only look for profits (upvotes from Steepshot) and existing users with followers would feel hurt if they are not supported and thus quiting the platform. This will result reduced total payout of the entire users. The total daily reward has been already reduced by 40% since January, and it wont stop if they continue to cut the reward by 15%.

Steepshot是一个建立在Steem区块链上的图片分享平台，大致可以理解为一个区块链版的Instagram。Steepshot的口号很有意思：Share moments. Earn coins. 大意是分享美好瞬间，挣点小小外快。把发文的门槛和回报的期望值都降到最低，推广起来倒也简单。

今天看到Steepshot官方账号发帖求金主赞助，这个帖子信息量巨大，公布了他们的商业模式以及近三个月的流量数据。作为一个出生没有含着金汤匙，至今还没收到Steemit财政赞助，全靠自己野蛮生长的平台，我对他们的各项数据还蛮感兴趣的。首先是一些基本流量数据：最近一个月的日活、发帖数都在1500-2000之间，算得上Steem生态链上比较活跃的一个应用。每天注册的新用户一两百不算差，但加上老用户的流失以后近这一个月的总体日活比较平稳。在其他平台都在高速成长的危机感之下，团队这次公开招商也算是给自己找一条出路。

在帖子里公开的分成模式是这样：Steepshot从用户发帖收入抽佣15%，其中10%用于平台建设，5%用于给赞助商回报。而赞助商支持的SP将会用来给用户点赞以吸引用户。点赞策略是：只要符合规则的帖子（NSFW比如要加标签、不得剽窃），新用户以及过往Steepshot点赞数低于一定数目的用户将会得到点赞。

现在看来Steepshot是将资源向新用户推广倾斜，把平台先做大了再说。但老用户的流失这个问题缺乏解决方案：如果失去了平台支持，再加上额外被抽佣15%，想不出老用户有什么动力在这个平台发帖。新用户如果只是奔着有Steepshot点赞去发帖，帖子收入将不会太高，可以预见的是整个Steepshot的总收入和抽佣都会下降，陷入恶性循环。事实上Steepshot在最近两个月的总体收入一直在下降通道，目前只有两个月前顶峰的60%。基于这个判断，我对Steepshot的未来并不看好。
