# <center>Introduction</center>

We are delighted to announce the birth of Power2Soar, a community power up event organized by SteemAlive!!! This is indeed a dream come true. We are very excited and hope this event would be great and a step in the right direction.

As a community, we are keen to see the individual growth of our members and we realize how much influence Steem power has on the steem blockchain. Since a high steempower guarantees a high curation reward and a healthier steem rate in the crypto market, we decided to launch **Power2Soar.** 

Already SteemAlive has a thriving **community trail with 204 followers** as seen below:

And our trail is the **3rd most popular too**:

So with Power2Soar and other projects like **[Save2Soar](https://steemit.com/@save2soar/posts), we plan to increase the community voting value (currently $2 at 100%) significantly. **Power2Soar** will be a monthly Steem power up event with amazing prizes to be won by participants. This event would be held on the 15th of every month. Read on and learn about the Prizes,  rules and Entry requirements.

# <center>Power2Soar - The Prizes</center>
Although with very limited resources largely crowdfunded from the community, we are trying to make this event as rewarding as we can. Hence, There are 3 large categories of Prizes to be won by participants. take a look:

### <center>(1). 10,000 Steem Power delegation for 3 Weeks</center>
We have 10,000SP ready to be won as delegation. The top 5 positions will win the top 5 prizes. Winners are selected based on the amount of Steem powered up. The participant with the largest amount of Steem powered up takes 1st postion and wins the 1st Prize. The image below shows how much Steem Power each participant will win from 1st to 5th positions:

### <center>2. 100 Steem </center>
The second prize to be won by participants is 100 Steem. So again depending on the amount of Steem powered up, participants between 1st and 5th position would receive Steem too. Here is how much steem to be won by each participant:

### <center>2. Cash Prize NGN 20,000 </center>
The third prize for the participants is a cash prize of NGN 20,000. Winners position - again - is determined by the amount of Steem Powered up. We also have consolation prizes for positions 6th - 10th in this cash reward category. Take a look at how much each participant would take home:

**Note:** Participants that are not of Nigerian origin would have their cash prize converted to Steem and sent to them.

So the above 3 categories of rewards would be won by the 1st to 10th positions or winners. Positions 1 to 5 will win the 3 prizes. While positions 6th to 10th will enjoy only the cash prizes as consolation. So, are there rules? You know the answer - YES.

# <center>Power2Soar contest rules</center>
There are just 5 not-so-hard rules for Power2Soar, March 2021 edition.
1. Participants are strictly members of SteemAlive community.
2. Participants must [follow SteemAlive curation trail](https://steemit.com/hive-167622/@steemalive/how-to-join-steemalive-curation-trail).
3. Participants must not be powering down 1 week to the date of this power up event (15/3/2021). They must not power down 1 month after the power up event. Those found powering down within 1 month of winning prizes would loose their delegation and wont qualify to participate in Power2Soar for April and May.
4. Participants must make a post between now and 15th March 2021 indicating their willingness to participate. The post must be published in SteemAlive community with the first tag **power2soar**
5. Immediately they powered up on 15th, Participants must make a post with two clear screenshots of their wallet before and after the power up.

# <center> Who can Participate in this contest?</center>
1. All SteemAlive members are free to participate. Whether they are new, or old members. Since our goal is to encourage everyone to power up, there are no restrictions, although participants must follow the few rules mentioned above.
