**Steemit** provide us with 4 important page preference i.e **Trending**, **New**, **Hot** & **Promoted**. The user can visit any of the pages to check and view the post as per the preference.

Apart from these 4 heads, there is one more option of **People I follow** which gives the feed about the user I  am following. 

However, If I open any particular feed and want to go the *New* tab as apear on top of the page, the system will only show us the NEW item/ posts of that particular TAGS that I just visited/ opened a while ago

To explain in details, please refer below illustration and images.

Now as I am into the post page of **Feed-People I follow**, I opened any one  post from the list of FEEDs to read the content, the post is in *Utopian.io* Tag section. (refer image)

After reading and going through the post I wanted to visit and view the **NEW** tab posts to scroll through all the New posting  in steemit. For that I clicked on the *New* tab that is appearing right on top of the page

As I suppose to get all the New post  feed in Steemit under New tab, instead I get all the new posts under specific Tag i.e **Utopian.io**, i.e the reference topic/tag that i opened earlier  (the above post). The system automatically filter out the specific TAGS post from the previous posts (refer image screen) which were opened a while ago

As the 4 Tabs are for specific related to provide the user with all kinds of posts circulating in the steemit platform. It is pretty good if the user get the required information whenever he clicked on any of the 4 tabs from anywhere. Instead of any Tag specific.

*Another example we can take is of Gmail : If we are in reading a mail  in our Gmail account and want to check the sent items folder, we easily scroll and moved to that folder  by clicking on the **Sent** folder, instead of filtering all the specific email.*

For getting TAG basis information in Steemit or filtration, we have all the tags/ topics on left side of the landing page. The user can choose any of the topic to filter out the Tags and can drill down the information accordingly.

**Add On Summary**

Suppose I open a post which is posted in #steemit...after reading and viewing the post, I wanted to scroll to NEW tab to view the newest post....however what is happening is that the system/website is showing me all the new posts under #steemit tags, rather than all the Generic  *New* posting under the New tab.
