Well we should all quite Facebook as soon as possible, but there are several things we should do before deactivating our account, first save our data, if we dont have the copy of data that we have uploaded on Facebook we should save it first, also Facebook helps us to contact with people, so various people having Facebook account contact there friends via it, so they should first find an alternative to contact with them via email WhatsApp or by any other means, after then we should deactivate our account.

I don't expect all Facebook users to come to Steemit. They want privacy features. I think the big companies need to reassess their relationship with users.

Im not going to quit Facebook, it still has its uses but I dont use it so much these days. I rarely accept new friend requests where once I was a 'friend collector' (10 years ago). The novelty wore off a long time ago.

Saying that close facebook accounts is becoming the rage these days. The reasons for this being said can be many. 
My concern is in the fact that many wouldn't do the same six moths ago or a few years ago when people like Julian Assange came out and told the world about dangers of social media. Now suddenly it is becoming the trend because they are in a spotlight. 
Like you said facebook still has it's uses but it depends on us to decide how much we want to get into it.
