Winter walk and how to make your Snowman

*Today, I am finally off and also wanted to enjoy a bit of that snow weather.*

*First of all, after breakfast we decided to have fresh walk in this sunny day. In our previous posts we have already mentioned and showed the beautiful pictures of little part of our town that is called Dysart. This is a little fishermen place with cozy haven and many boats. Just before that place there is a park, that is why it is a great place to start walk first through the park, then along the coast and the end station is the haven of Dysart.*

*You have all already heard many times that my hubby @myskye loves to do photography that is why today, he had his camera too. To have snowy winter photos is very rare lately, therefore, we wanted to capture these moments.*

<center>***How to make your Snowman***</center>

&nbsp;

*During these last days, our garden is full with snow, it is about 15 cm and by now the snow is so sticky that it is the best time to do Snowman. What do you need for it:*

+ Snow
+ Couple of dry branches from a tree or bush
+ Bucket
+ The lid from any glass
+ One carrot for nose, and
+ Two black buttons (or coal pieces) for eyes

*The rest is your fantasy. The size of your Snowman depends on you. We have a lot of snow and here is our Snowman.*

Such beautiful winter scenery! And a nice snowman, too! Your part of Scotland looks quite a lot like our area here, halfway across the world...

Our winter storm just started a couple of hours ago (7:00pm, US west coast time) and the forecast calls for it to keep snowing till 4:00pm Saturday, or longer... so I should have some snow photos, too!

Yes, I also told you the same, because of position at sea and some hills and small mountains towards Edinburgh we have the same picture of landscape. In this season it looks beautiful, we were lucky to have some snow this time. I really miss it. 

On that day I could not stand but had to do snowman, felt myself like a child :)

Hallo Karly,
ganz eindeutig ist der Winter in Schottland ebenfalls märchenhaft, dein Mann hat die Stimmung ganz hervorragend eingefangen!
Über die Anleitung zum Schneemannbau musste ich sehr schmunzeln. Uns Nordlichtern ist da ja durchaus eine verinnerlichte Fähigkeit (wenn wir sie auch schon lange nicht mehr anwenden konnten), aber es gibt hier ja auch sehr viele User, die Schnee noch nie live gesehen, geschweige denn berührt haben.
Ich habe jedoch eine Reklamation zu bekunden: Bei Dauerfrost klappt das mit der Baukunst nicht - da kann die Anleitung noch so gut sein... ;-)

Liebe Christiane,
Ich stimme dir zu, mein Mann ist sehr gut darin die Schönheiten der Natur im Foto festzuhalten. Als wir die endgültige Bilder gesehen haben, mussten wir lachen. In den Fotos sieht alles noch viel besser und schöner aus als im wirklichen Leben. Wahrscheinlich werden die Katalogen für die Touristen ( Urlaubskataloge ) genau so gemacht. Wegen der Anleitung zum Schneemann basteln, das war mein Absicht und ich musste selber darüber schmunzeln. Ich kann das mir gut vorstellen dass für viele die noch nie Schnee gesehen haben es wie in einem  Märchen war.
Über die verschiedenen Arten von Schnee und die Fähigkeit zum haften, wollte ich erst im Kurs für die „Fortgeschritten“ sprechen :)
Leider ist unser Winter nach 4 Tagen schon wieder vorbei. Heute haben wir schon plus 9-11 Grad und der meiste Schnee ist leider schon weg.
