I enjoyed this immensely, I truly have missed your caustic thought patterns. Anyway, I wrote a similar piece, but I focused more on Elon's pathology. People forget that Elon is a master of taking advantage of opportunities.
And for me personally, once I learned that his real ambition was start Mars colonies, I sort of lost some respect for him. However, with that said, i don't think any car maker can truly compete with the Tesla. Have you ever sat down in one? It's like going 10 years into the future. Nothing even comes close that is going to be $35k. That is the thing I still admire about him.....his absolute dedication to perfection.
