Dissenting voices are never popular. The guilds are necessary band-aids and I never actually had any problem with their activities, until I realized that the authors are upvoting their own posts with the guild accounts. It just doesn't seem right. It's not the authors' fault, it's the way the "payment" works that is questionable. Self upvoting is allowed under their guidelines. That is the only thing I am questioning about it. Without questions, we are just a bunch of sheep and nothing moves forward. If demand for Steem existed, I guess no one could be bothered by this...Every system needs critics and when a system ostracizes intelligent people asking good questions, we have a serious problem of circle jerking which can ultimately result in failure.
