The HOLY SPIRIT is the promise of the Father to as many that have come to believe. Acts 2:38-39. It is the holy spirit that empowers us for service after being saved. The presence of the HOLY SPIRIT is to be consciously obtained and maintained. JESUS promised us that we will not be left alone and that His divine personality will help, comfort and strengthen us in our life's journey. John14:16

**WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THE BELIEVERS?**
According to John 16:7,13 the HolySpirit is our helper, Jesus said "I am telling you the truth if I did not go, the helper won't come which is the holy spirit, but if He goes the helper will surely come. the holy spirit has come to help the believers in their daily life by guiding on things to do and things not to do.
**WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE LIFE OF A BELIEVER**
Acts 16:6-7, Holyspirit tells us the time to do something, i.e guiding our mind set. in the case of this Bible verse, the Holy spirit did not allow Paul and Timothy to preach, though it is very good to preach and spread the gospel, the Holy Spirit can stop due to some circumstances. HolySpirit gives those that believe in god power to manifest.
John 16:13, Holy Spirit leads us into all truth, He give or show us the vision of things to come, He speaks of his authority, He gives us the gift of tongue [diverse tongue].
**THE FOLLOWING ARE THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT**(1cor 12:5-11:)
* He gives different ability to individuals
* Message full of wisdom
* Message full of knowledge
* Power to heal
* Power of faith
* Power of Miracle
* Spirit of speaking God's message
* Ability to tell the difference between gifts that come from the spirit and not from the spirit
* Ability to speak in tongues
* Ability to interpret tongues
