## The Sustainable Living Podcast

The Sustainable Living Podcast is new to Steemit, but it is not a new podcast. Until the beginning of this year, the podcast was the combined effort of co-hosts and co-producers Jenise Fryatt and Marianne West.

Due to personal circumstances, Jenise decided that she no longer was able to be part of the podcast.

Marianne was sad to lose her co-host. But after coming to terms with the decision, she decided to keep working on the podcast and to make it even better.

One idea was to invite people with different expertise to have a regular voice on The Sustainable Living Podcast.

Some will be regular guest co-hosts and others might report in once in a while. This is a time of experimenting and as such, very exciting. 

Emily had been a guest on The Sustainable Living Podcast and was more than happy to join the team when Marianne reached out to her. 

Here is Emily's introduction in her own words:

## Emily Gerde

Emily Gerde is an up an coming author with a background as a public school teacher, gymnastics coach, daycare provider, tiny house dweller, and holistic health enthusiast. Emily will provide an inside look into a minimalist lifestyle and how downsizing can forever change your life. She will also dive into mindfulness practices, organic farming, gentle parenting and how sustainable living can be applied in all areas of your life. Emily’s new book, Minimalist Living for a Maximum Life, gives you in in depth look at her family’s journey to healing the mind, body and soul through minimalist, sustainable and mindfulness practices.

Emily is excited to be a part of the Sustainable Living Podcast team as she interviews guest from all walks of life and discovers what humanity is doing to ensure our children will have a beautiful healthy planet for generations to come. Join us every month and be inspired to make the changes you want to see in yourself, so the world will follow your example.  Emily explains her mission as follows, “I am here to inspire women to heal themselves, so we have a generation of children who will thrive and create a new world where humans, technology, and nature live in harmony.”

## This Episode

This is a short episode where Emily and Marianne talk about what Emily is planning to bring to the podcast.
Marianne also gives a short update on what is going on on the homestead. (Sad story - the death of a Mango tree)
