  Happy Tarot Tuesday Steemit!

  I've recently acquired a new tarot deck that will definitely challenge me as a reader.
A used Shadowscapes Tarot was available at the shop I read from for $5!
This deck is definitely not my normal style, but it was $5!

  The Shadowscapes Tarot is kind of a "fluffy bunny" deck where all of the images are pretty and pastel.
It is way harder for me to read a deck that isn't dark and direct like the Deviant Moon or the Thoth Tarot.

  Today, I'm doing a reading with it, but I am using the Deviant Moon images to bail me out a bit.

  Our root card is the Knight of Wands.

Impulse and courage are at hand. In Minnesota, it is really warm out, and it feels like spring. This is having it's effect on the people here and the boldness of the Knight of Wands makes sense. 

  This is followed by the Hermit, the Knight of Swords, and The 5 of Cups.

  Here, the difference in the two decks is pretty glaring.
I would look at the Shadowscapes deck and say, "Sweet! What a pretty day!"
The Deviant Moon tells a defferent story.

  In either case, the Hermit shows a period of isolation and acceptance of who and what we truly are.
This leads to the Knight of Swords, who is pretty guarded as they finally head out into the world.
The wisdom of the Hermit would lead to the defense barriers put in place by the Knight. 

 Finally, this leads to the 5 of Cups.
The Shadowscapes version is pretty, but it still means regret and/or depression.
It could be that we might run into someone that will trigger old emotional garbage... it could also be that we haven't fully let go of the emotional trash and that will add to the guarded state of the Knight of Swords.
The thing to really guard yourself against here is regret and bygone bullshit.

  Overall, being bold and taking chances is a good thing now, but try not leave yourself completely vulnerable. Also, since both court cards are Knights, making big commitments is not a good idea right now.

  I'll be taking a larger look at the Shadowscapes Tarot in the coming days.
