Fake news is something that is spewed a lot these days.

In an effort to combat it, one organization is seeking to use blockchain, KYC, and NFTs to validate what is posted.

LKS, an Italian firm, is setting up a system that also protects copyright.

>An LKS spokesman confirmed that the system creates an NFT which contains the identity of the publisher, publishing time and a link to the original source. The token confirms the identity of the author (which is established through Know Your Customer procedures during the registration needed to use the system), while the transaction timestamp proves publishing time.

The system will eventually use the Bitcoin blockchain to "stamp" the transactions.  Thus, there is a hash for each article posted.  At the same time, an update will also change the NFT.

The use cases for blockchain and, especially, NFTs is just getting started.  Innovation is going to explode as more companies and individuals enter this space.  

In the early days, the transfer of value was the only use.  Now, we are seeing many use cases that require the immutability characteristic of blockchain.

Many believe blockchain will be one of the main data structures going forward.  Immutable and transparent can offer a great deal to society.

Unfortunately, that which needs to be transparent tends to be controlled by those who do not want that.  They prefer to operate  in secrecy.
