I was/am. However, I only started doing that after I entered a contest, out of desperation for cash. I was selected as a writer, much to my total surprise, since I thought of myself as a visual artist. Once I saw that others were willing to pay for my writing, i became a writer. Weird......I have been writing my whole life, but only for myself. It was only in 2015 that I wrote a book, which was on my life "bucket list". I sort of do one offs insead of building a solid career......I suspect is has something to do with me being a drunk for so many years! My mind is so much sharper now though due to giving it up completely.
