**Everyone wants to be loved and cherished. There is a natural desire in us to be specially loved and cared for by someone. We want to be with someone we deeply love and who deeply loves us. We think of special moments with that person when we freely express our love for each other.**

**This is one of the many reasons God instituted marriage, so that a man and a woman can come into physical intimacy and have all their emotional needs met.**

**We have wonderful and pleasant expectations in line with what we know God would want us to enjoy. Suddenly, you remember probably the relationship/marriage of some fantastic couple that seemed heavenly at the beginning but went down the drain and ended badly.**

**Some people see such things and get scared thinking that if it could happen to those persons, then it can happen to them too.**

### Simple and short: **Relationships and marriages crash because people do not build on the foundation of God's Word. Period. Refuse to take what the world teaches and practices.**

**If you're following the standards of love the world teaches, then be scared because you'll come crashing down. A good friend of mine would usually say that marriage won't make you happy but understanding the dynamics of marriage will.**

**This is so true. You need understanding. When a person understands something very well, they become an expert at dealing with challenges in that area and as a result we say that person is wise (as far as that area is concerned).**

**Wisdom is the principal requirement for happiness and wisdom is the outcome when you have gotten understanding. As it is with marriage so it is with love. One needs to understand love. It is said that if the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable.**

**So, what is the purpose of love? People may have their own ideas of love and their own notions but love remains what God says it is. Remember, people didn't invent love, God did.**

**Love is God, it's the nature of the one true God. It's the life and foundation of anyone that must be reckoned with Him.**

**Love is the culture of Heaven and it is what recreates heaven on earth.**

**Love is the software God designed for marriage to run on.**

**Love is choosing to stay even after seeing the ugly sides of someone.**

**Love is sticking with your partner of 15 years(or more) despite his/her illness.**

**Love is staying committed to each other in times of difficulty and trials.**

**Love is enjoying each other's success and feeling each other's pain.**

**Love is not just love at first sight but love all the way till death parts both of you.**

**Love is interceding for the helpless and giving them your help.**

**Love is selflessness and a sacrifice.**

**I could go on and on. Love never ends. Every other thing will expire in its relevance. Every other thing will pass away but not love. Love is eternal.**

**Love is your free access into God's eternal bosom. God is love. As today's biblical verse says, we were designed to exist in the culture of love. With love you're safe; without love one is lost.**
