Farcical Upvotes - Does one have to be grateful?

Call me an ungrateful ingrate but I really am amazed and confused by some of the votes I receive on my posts.

Since the Hard Fork a few months ago the voting rules were changed, and I must confess that to my mind it was for the worse. 
That is not only because we have this weird new habit amongst some Steemians to 100% upvote their one liner mundane comments, but because the 10 per day type scenario now has individuals voting with miniscule percentages of their vote.

So I went onto Steemd and had a look at recent activities on my blog and had me a very small chuckle at some of the votes I have been receiving... but mostly I thought .....

I ask that question honestly. Does it add to your vests, increase your reputation? Or is it just a waste of time?

As regards my Steem and SBD...not yet. Not even an acknowledgement of my problem. For votes I use Steemvoter set to 10%...and those I vote on manually...100%
