I dislike the PC culture. However it is a mistake to rail against "political correctness" before defining the term.

People often confuse politically correct with polite. I think we should err on the site of courtesy and treat people with respect.

When I argue against PC culture. I make sure I define the term.

I define "politically correct" to mean that people shape their vocabulary for political effect and not for clarity.

The left engages in this type of behavior regularly. For example one can't use the term "illegal" in reference to people who cross the border illegally as it might stigmatize people who engage in illegal behavior.

If one defines "politically correct" to mean people weigh their words for political effect; then one discovers that it possible to be a complete potty mouth and still be politically correct ... which is a game played by left wing comedians.

IMHO:  The solution to "political correctness" is to define terms.
