Song's that were made in the 30's, 40's and 50's had such a unique sound. Usually they are very jazzy or bluesy. These are 2 of my favorite genres growing up as a kid.
There is something about jazz that is so good for relaxing and unwinding after a tough working week, this is usually how I love to wind down on a Friday night if I'm not listening to 60's and 70's music.
I remember growing up as a kid jazz was also used quite regularly in movies. I used to love watching movies when I was a kid and can still remember the Frank Sinatra movies that would come on the TV every now and then. I always found them quite enjoyable.
The same is true for blues.
I have lots of memories of blues being used in movies from my childhood, but I think my favorite has to be The Blues Brothers. The Blues Brothers was always a popular choice to watch on a Saturday night in our house.
I think I will have to watch The Blues Brothers again, as I have not seen it for many years now.
I don't really get into older movies as much these days, as movies that have been released after the year 2000 are really quite visually striking. It's hard to appreciate older movies after that.
It would be good to visit some of those old Sinatra movies though.
Music from the 30's, 40's and 50's is too often forgotten. This series has been done to revive some of these classic songs so they can live on through other generations.
I have had some great feedback so far. Here is some cool feedback I got from @doctorcrypto
> I love some old timey music. Whether it's 40's 50's or 60's It don't matter.
While listening to the Ink spot songs, I was thinking about back up singers from that era and how the whole back up singer thing has changed with the times.
I love hearing the old tunes.
Bitty Wop Wop Wop
Here is some cool feedback I got from @frogman18
> I like 'Whispering Grass' best, but all the songs are great. There are a number of moody sounding groups from that era that were very popular on the radio. I also like the Andrews sisters who are a contrast to The Inkspots.

# ☠️ Frank Sinatra ☠️
Frank Sinatra is one of the gems from the 30's, 40's and 50's and is a huge star who had produced an almost endless line in TV shows and songs.
Frank Sinatra was an actor, singer and producer though he is most well known for his music. He was an incredibly influential musician who you would have surely heard of.
He has an incredible music career and the list of songs that he has done is massive, [check out this list of songs](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_recorded_by_Frank_Sinatra).
From wikipedia:
> He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 150 million records worldwide. Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Italian Americans, Sinatra began his musical career in the swing era with bandleaders Harry James and Tommy Dorsey. Sinatra found success as a solo artist after he signed with Columbia Records in 1943, becoming the idol of the "bobby soxers". He released his debut album, The Voice of Frank Sinatra, in 1946.
Trying to pick a couple of favorite tracks is really difficult, and I highly recommend you listen to his other songs too. They are great.

# ☠️ Frank Sinatra - The Way You Look Tonight ☠️
Here is a track that I really love by Frank Sinatra.
I find Frank Sinatra has a very specific style of music and as soon as you hear his voice you know it's him.
This song is kind of jazzy and has that typical 40's and 50's sound to it.
His voice is so remarkable I love the way it sounds blended in with the instruments. This song really reminds me of those musicals that I used to watch.

# ☠️ Frank Sinatra - That's Life ☠️
I really love the way Frank Sinatra has done this track. It has a rather different feel to it which almost sounds more like a track you would here on The Blues Brothers.
This song has that fantastic Frank Sinatra sound to it.
When I listen to this song it really reminds me that shit happens in life, and you just gotta roll with the punches. A good song to listen to when your feeling blue and down in the dumps.
These lyrics are so cool.
> That's life (that's life) that's what people say
You're riding high in April
Shot down in May
But I know I'm gonna change that tune
When I'm back on top, back on top in June

# ☠️ Frank Sinatra - Fly Me to The Moon ☠️
This has to be one of the absolute classics from Frank Sinatra, and probably one of his biggest hits.
The sound of this song is just amazing.
I find this song to be rather jazzy and up lifting, a really good song to chuck on after work on Friday :)
When I listen to songs like this from Sinatra it's like stepping back in time. I would love to find a bar that played great music like this here in Adelaide.
