# After disturbing their nest beyond repair I couldn't just leave them to die.
I found them when cleaning out a dumpster area at work and well, since I am in the restaurant business I knew they would end up eating poison or their mother would as we have several traps and poisons all around.

# I tucked them into a box and decided to try and save them...
... even though I knew their mortality rate was already dropped by about 50% without their mother.

# After work I picked up some collagenized goats milk from a local pet store and a small bottle to use to feed them.
 The bottle was to small so I ended up finding an eyedropper and that has seemed to work a lot better. Between work and my new babies I haven't had a lot of time to post things here on Steemit but I thought you would all enjoy seeing them.

# When I found them they were about 10-12 days old and I have had them for 5 days now and they are moving around a lot as well as doing well from what I can guess. Baby rats are a lot of work especially in this stage.

I will keep you updated as long as they continue to do well but I will warn you my heart broke when one passed away last night.... it was the one that was hurt when I found them. He lived in my care for 3 days but usually when they stop eating it isn't a good sign.
