This can eventually lead to permanent liver damage.</p>

<p class="description_4">For people with liver disease there is a powerful impetus to keep cholesterol levels low, even HDL, which, though otherwise beneficial, may actually lose its protective effects against coronary heart disease in men with liver damage, a study in the "British Medical Journal" found. Keeping cholesterol levels as low as possible requires plenty of exercise and a reduction of fat in your diet. If you are smoking, then you should also quit immediately.</p> <br />
