Hi Steemians,

I was contemplating if I should write a post about it but I think I should to celebrate my first 2nd prize in a Steem Monster tournament. As many players would know, I host many tournaments with @wilhb81 and at first it was pretty stressful because I wanted to participate but at the same time, need to host and answer questions. Back then, I would never get past 2nd round in any league if I remembered correctly. I was not able to join any many tournaments because they were held in a different timezone to me so I have to join my own tournaments to have some fun. 

I have mentioned this before but I get nervous in these tournaments. You see big guys on there knowing they have maxed decks so the chances of winning could be pretty slim depending on the rules on the game. As time goes by, I got a lot more comfortable holding tournaments and playing at the same time. This also factors in many players are used to the drill and rules therefore less confusion and questions we had in the beginning.

Last night, I held the weekend tournament for Gold league. The lineup was pretty hectic because all the names on there I am very familiar with and many I have had chatted with previously. It was a BO1 therefore every game and move is very important. In the end, I was against @smongo who is a great player and he won and I came second. In my previous tournament experiences, the highest rank I’ve been was 4th so coming in 2nd made me feel like a winner already!

Enough said about my win. Do follow me to see when is the next tournament next week. The automated tournament is already in testing phase so I won’t be doing these manual tournaments for long! I may hold a few pop up tournaments to change things up a bit with short notice unlike the ones I normally give. See you on Steem Monsters!
