## Middle MTT How To
The middle level is usually a bit after the antes become significant, usually after late registration ended but still before you’re close enough to the bubble.

In the mid level is all about your chip count. If you played well an followed the tips from this [post]( https://steemit.com/poker/@tuck-fheman/mtt-strategy-early-stages-part-1-3-spl-poker-101-lesson-4) you are probably staying on a beautiful stack.
**
Big Stack Strategy
**
If you played really well you’re probably now somewhere in the chip lead. At this point you should use your big stack in your advantage playing the player not the cards in an aggressive style. You can go for stealing blinds if you play against a tight player since at this stage of the tourney the blinds are worth stealing and you can do it by a simple 2x rise most of the times.
You can also go for all-ins with the under average stacks since you can afford a gamble if worthwhile. But maybe the most important thing you should take into consideration is that you don’t have to take that many gambles anymore, you don’t have to lose chips just because you can afford it. If you don’t pay attention you can become an average or under average stack in a blink of an eye.
**
Medium Stack Strategy
**
This one has some similarities with the big stack playing style, you can still steal blinds from tight players if you have a good position over them but also, this is the most important time to be aware from the whole tournament. You will have to pay attention at who you’re playing against and their poker style since you don’t want to be caught up in a cock fight pre flop or even post flop. Also, this is not the time to call all-ins from small stacks if your hand is not strong since you could lose a big chunk of your stack and be on the edge of elimination.
**
Short Stack Strategy
**
Let’s say that you played only strong starting hands in great positions but somehow you got unlucky and you lost a big chunk of your chips but that doesn’t mean you’re a short stack. If you have at least 15 big blinds you’re not a short stack yet but if you have 10 or less that can be considerate as being a short stack.

Having only a few chips may be really challenging because you have the possibility to hit a bad beat and be eliminated on the spot. You should choose wisely your starting hands and if you’re at 10 big blinds or less you should go for all-ins with strong hands until you make enough double ups that you’re in a safe spot. You shouldn’t try to steal blinds at this point anymore because the big stacks may call or even re-rise and put you in a tough spot.
**
Conclusion
**
In the end, the way you play and the strategies you apply matter more than the amount of chips you have because you can go from a short stack to a big stack and vice versa in no time if you’re not focused enough.
