<h2>Who Was The First User You Followed On Steemit? Why?</h2>
<p>The first user I followed on Steemit was @free999enigma, because he pays my salary :D</p>
<p>But, no, really, the first people I followed on Steemit were mostly the ones I already knew from outside the platform. We joined the platform together and tried to see if this could be do anything with it. I didn't start following people that were already here for some time. The main reason was that, by looking at the "Trending" page, to see what people were talking about, all I was seeing was 'How good crypto is (don't look at it too hard, because we're afraid it will all go poof") or "My success story on Steemit (circlejerk vote bait driven 99% by bots)", I didn't really care about any of those topics. I was more interested in the tools around here, so I followed @zappl and @steepshot , wanting to see how they evolve, what are the plans for expanding them. Then I followed people like @jodipamungkas and @girlbeforemirror , because they really showed a lot of support for us when we were starting out. </p>
