Today I took a break from work to go get wood to make stretchers for the paintings I am currently making.

Getting woods and preparing the stretchers myself is cost efficient and saves time too. So the wood I got is a Soft wood called Obeche which has it's scientific name as Triplochiton scleroxylon.

I met another type of hustle here; People carrying woods on their heads regardless of the weight, people operating the sawing machine without protection of any kind. It was really a disturbing sight but I tried making them know the need to get themselves protected incase there is any accident.

This was an opportunity for me to launch my macro lens and that's what I used in taking these shots. Lovely right?

I tried taking close up shot of the wood I bought and it I am kind of happy with the outcome. Not much of a mobile photographer though but I think if I practice more, I will do just great.
