"what are you even saying about jamb?" he asked. I felt bad; why would he ask me such question after all we discussed last night.." I need six thousand naira to purchase JAMB form" I replied. "Which school?" He asked again I don't know; which course? I don't know. "You are not serious" he said as he walked towards his red Peugeot truck. **God!, when will i be relived of this burden?... I strolled down the pathway thinking out loud.
I had sat for jamb twice and was sitting for the third one. I wanted to study medicine and surgery or nursing but I didn't gain admission. I love health alot and always pictured myself in my white clinical jacket and a stethoscope attending to sick persons and getting them relieved with a smile on their faces. It's been two years and I'm still imagining...mtcheww; I'll try FUTO. Dec 1 2015 ...I registered for Jamb apt.test putting Futo as first choice and optometry as choice course.
First list was released and my name wasn't there..what? Optometry department admitted only twenty- two persons. I checked the cut off 250 and I got 232. "Daddy I want to purchase supplementary form and it's ten thousand naira" I said sobbing. Will this one work? He asked; yes, I replied. I'm going to apply for a course that easily offers admission in Futo as I heard.

Rev. told me to come to the parsonage and together we went to see a friend of his who works in Futo. After narrating my story
to her she said my score is low for optometry but I will surely get crop science technology because that was my supplementary course choice. Wow so from medical courses to crop science...no problem, I'll do my very best and graduate with a first class..I'll get the best out of crop science.
Nov 12,2016..supplementary list was released and I gained admission to study crop science technology..i was so happy, mum danced and danced. Dad wasn't happy..he didn't like the course. I paid acceptance fee and started registration.
Dec 1 2016; I received a call from my church organist who is also a Futo student and he said..I saw your name in optometry department.
....the VC's. List is out, congratulations".he shouted and hung up. Hello, hold on, me? Vc's list; how is that possible? My name is in crop science. Immediately, my phone beeped ; it was a whatsapp message from chibueze..he sent me the pdf and my name was number four in the list. I called Reverend and we went to see that woman.
My dear, she had and smiled; I am the university's admission officer and I put your name in the list. When my husband was very sick and close to death; Reverend took great care of him until he recovered and that was why when I was told to handle the VC's list.
I decided to help you because he said you are his niece".
I let the tears in my eyes flow as we drove back to Reverend's house. How did I get caught up in the middle of this? I asked myself. Then I remembered the saying" Do good to others when you are going up for you may meet them when you are coming down"
