<p>As you remember we were at the point where we were enjoying Batumi. Next our goal was getting to Armenia. &nbsp;We did this and not without a lot of adventures, mind you.</p>

<p>In the afternoon Levan walked us to the bus stop. We caught a minibus to a departure from the city. This day we planned to get to Gyumri in Armenia. It’s about 330 km. However, the road which we went along was very winding and there were practically no cars. No cars, no people... nothing.</p>
<blockquote><em>Пришло время проститься с семьей Левана. На автобусе мы выехали за город, и дальнейший путь решили продолжить автостопом. До Армении оставалось около 330 километров, и мы рассчитывали уже к вечеру пересечь границу. Но как бы не так. Дорога, по которой мы продолжили свой путь, оказалась горной с множеством поворотов и переваломв, а еще совершенно пустой.</em></blockquote>

<p>After about 60 km we stopped. There was almost no passing transport to our way. We were 15 km away from the village of Khulo. This area is the eastern in Adjara, and also mountainous and deaf. These roads and passes were really seldom used by people. Sometimes in the winter the road completely impassable. We knew about that when we got that road, although if we knew before we would still go.</p>
<blockquote>Через несколько десятков километров мы встали. Машин практически не было, а если и были, то наполненные до отказа пассажирами или ящиками с овощами. Мы были всего в 15 километрах от деревни Хуло. Это самый восточный район Аджарии, высокогорный и малонаселенный. Иногда зимой эта дорога становится непроходимой и опасной из-за обвалов и лавин. Мы узнали об этом только когда очутились здесь совершенно одни. Хотя, на самом деле, даже если б мы знали заранее о трудностях, мы бы выбрали этот путь!</blockquote>

<p>After a while we caught a car. A few families were in this car. Some of them offered us to go visiting them and staying at the night. It was getting dark and the rain was coming. We decided to go with welcoming family.&nbsp;</p>

Нам было по пути лишь несколько километров, и кто-то из пассажиров предложил поехать к ним. Уже темнело, и накрапывал дождь, поэтому мы с радостью согласились остаться в гостях.</em></blockquote>

<p>Their house has stood high on a hill with beautiful views. We came into the house and the hosts immediately laid the table with lots of different homemade dishes. Soon the storm began and the light put out. Evening ended with dinner by candlelight, Georgian cuisine and good company! &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<blockquote>Дом гостеприимной семьи стоял на высоком холме, откуда открывался прекрасный вид. Как только мы зашли в дом, хозяева сразу же накрыли стол, предлагая нас разные домашние угощения. Вскоре началась гроза, и везде погас свет. Электричества не было ни в одном доме. &nbsp;А мы продолжили ужин при свечах в хорошей компании.</blockquote>

<p>In the morning we had taken some pictures with our friends and then their son took us to the main road, and we continued our way. Before the pass Goderdzi was only 20 km. There was building skiing resort with contemporary ski lifts on the way.&nbsp;</p>
<blockquote>Утром сын наших новых друзей отвез нас к главной дороге, где мы продолжили свой путь. До перевала оставалось всего 20 км. Когда мы поднялись на перевал, то увидели недостроенный современный горнолыжный курорт. Это было очень неожиданно!</blockquote>

<p>That would go there in the winter! There are fantastic views! Serpentine continued and only for the second half of the day we got a good track. That is a distance of 20 km we drove for 2.5 hours. It’s record-breaking speed. &nbsp;</p>
<blockquote><em>Так захотелось оказаться в этом месте зимой со сноубордом! Просто невероятные виды открываются с перевала! После перевала серпантин не закончился, и практически целый день мы тряслись по ухабистой горной дороге в грузовике. Расстояние всего лишь в 20 километров мы преодолели за 2, 5 часа!&nbsp;</em></blockquote>

<p>Next driver who gave us a lift was a Turk. He has worked on the hydroelectric power plant in Georgia. We could go with him only no more than 30 km, but he offered to take us to the border with Armenia. We were surprised and began to refuse but he replied that liked to travel and wanted to see this road and place where he has never been. At the border, we exchanged contacts, said goodbye each other and went through customs.</p>
<blockquote><em>Как только мы оказались на главной дороге, нам повезло! Остановился турок, работавший на строительстве ГЭС. И несмотря на то, что на по пути было всего лишь 20 километров, довез нас до самой границы с Арменией! Он рассказал, что очень любит путешествовать, но сам ни разу не доезжал до границы, и решил вот сейчас съездить и увидеть все своими глазами!&nbsp;</em></blockquote>
