It's too late for Goolag to not be evil. Their corporate culture is dominated by useful idiots being steered by people with a very evil agenda (anti-free speech, anti-biological science, warfare/welfare propaganda). The James Damore event seems to have made that clear for a majority of people. The hopelessly indoctrinated lemmings will have to droned by their technocratic messiah-corp before they wake up - at which point it will be too late.

And here's a theory for you.
You know all of those black budget secret research bases around the world, well, imagine that it was now more cost efficient to bring them all home.  However, silicon valley is full to the bursting.  They need more space.  Where would they get more space?

They would like, have to burn down acres of houses so that they could have more space.  So that they could build their new area 52 near the headquarters of alphabet.

Heard of any fires lately?

The consolidation of tech companies (ie: the neverending buyouts by the likes of Google, FB, Amazon, etc) is certainly created a technological cesspool of horrifying proportions. Broadly speaking, people don't question the ramifications of this vast consolidation, how it stymies creativity, diminishes freedom of choice, expands the speed/capability of the surveillance state and suppresses dissenting ideas/opinions. People too often gloss over these huge "expenses" paid and bask in the "wonder" of slightly cheaper consumer goods or a couple extra techno bells and whistles added on to the freeware (or call it spyware) they are using. Sad really. We give away so much of ourselves and gain so little in the process. 

I'm actively working on a process of eliminating the likes of Google and Amazon from my life and, I must say, it does take some work to flush it all out. I quit FB abt 7 years ago, so that's all good. Google though, has so many tentacles and can really get entangled in your life. We all need to value our time, creativity, and privacy much more and not give it all away free to the likes of the worst corporate actors on planet earth.
