# Let's talk about a SPORK as some form of fork of Steem for greater individual and collective shared value(s).

From the depths of missing and quietly behind scenes having attend blockchain and crypto(currency) events nearly everyday for the first half of last year finding myself further from STEEM in some ways but also having noticed many people expressing concerns of our STEEM blockchain and community inside and outside of such.

Certainly there have been many challenges which have been met and tackled at different levels based on capabilities of comunity and sometimes individuals or steemit and quite the mixture thereof.

Many people have expressed the idea of forking steem in some fashion for whatever and however this has been and may be thought of and expressed.

Was more well known up to about a year ago when I was much more active in the steem community.  having met Dan and Ned a few times in each in travels first at Consensus two years ago having attended this year as well.  Did not make it to steemfest this past year but had a great experience when I did two years ago.  Was amazing that all of us got together from all around the world showing a unique thing that we do have in the steem community.  The idea that humans can mine crypto by sharing experiences, building businesses, and whatever ideas that they / we / you may have.

Until recently @virtualgrowth could be scene wearing two steemfest bracelets one on each wrist for about a year and a half!

One major concern that some or maybe many of us have had is the exclusiveness of steem-ness which although not bad in and of itself but more limiting.  Think the community needs more ways to interact with other communities.  Many of the things we have may remain the same or maybe change to be more open which may allow more growth which has been one of our internal struggles.  Of course on of the major factors of this is the "whale" problem.  Great to see more open discussion and exploration of this.  Surely we can find better solutions as we have many times before.

Thank you to all of you that have brought steem to where you have as it is a result of all of us individually and collectively.  Not sure (exactly) how I may help but would like to express the possibility if I may lending a helping hand as I have many times in the past with many people, projects, and ideas mostly behind the scenes.

Love to read community ideas on this and help with forming ideas as I know many of you which includes having met about half of the steem developers and many community people and interacted online in many ways.  Please feel free to bring to my attention and others to our witnesses, community leaders, developers, thinkers, and more.

Having been invloved deeply in the blockchain space may have resources outside of our community that may help so just wanted to mention this and a little more.

Definitely this is worth exploring and thoroughly thinking through.  Wish everyone and us all in finding some form of solution and just wanted to take a moment to say Hello.
