As is it just at the audition process, you may sing any song you like - without music. As the contest progresses, the song choices may be more specific or themed and singers will be asked to provide their own backing music.
(Individuals will also be allowed to play their own instruments or have instrumentalists play backing music).
Contestants can choose between a cover or original.

You will be encouraged to go to as much effort as you can to present your live performance to the best of your ability as the contest gets more serious in the coming rounds...

I really appreciate the initiative, but as I mentioned earlier, the votes must not be the only criteria of win.
Also, the first condition of follow @vocalists-trail, is not nice. You can not ask someone to follow you, just because you are creating a contest(no offense intended, just humble suggestion.)
Talented people will follow you automatically, but first the contest has to be good.
