As i stepped outside my door on that Monday morning.I noticed the cloud was getting darker. It's gonna rain. I thought. Not today, today has to be perfect. I had been preparing for the interview for a month. It's been 9months since i became a graduate. I lost count of the number of job interviews i had been to. My father was getting impatient. He had stopped talking about me getting a job and instead, he suggested I get myself a man. He expected me to be helping with the bills. I have three siblings. All still in school. Dad wasn't as buoyant as he used to be. Everything got increased except for people's salary. So people couldn't afford what they earlier could. I quickened my pace as the clouds began to gather in the sky. The beautiful blue shade was beginning to darken into gravel-gray. I got the first splatter of rain as I got to bus station,Lukily there was a bus arriving and i stepped in quickly. Half way into the journey, the rainfall became more intense drumming against the roof of the bus. I got worried . I might end up getting drenched when I alight at my bus stop. I will look awful entering the hall looking crazy. I prayed for the rain to stop. I had a good feeling about this interview. The rain stopped and for once i felt the cosmos was at my side.And the rain stopping right before i alighted, seem to be a re-assuring sign. Leaving all the world pettiness and trivia out of my mind, I alighted the bus with a huge grin and an unaltered self confidence. Bang!!!! The last sound i heard. I never knew a human body could make that kind of sound.The on coming car had crashed into me sending me rolling up and finally landing, head first while the rest of my body follows.
