I have never considered that part of someone relying on Steemit as the sole provider of income, do you really believe there are people who do? I mean it is actually a gamble, even if you write great stuff who's to say you will get rewarded accordingly? And boy, these days will be very hard for someone who does rely on Steemit, with the very little money coming our way. But frankly I doubt there are many who even consider Steemit as an important source of income (I mean the writing, maybe there is more to make speculating with the coin, but for that you do need a nice amount of capital) because if you are a great writer you can make more money freelancing and that is a more reliable source of income. I believe most of us see it as a source of an extra income, it's like a monthly windfall. For my part I don't make enough for anything here, and besides that I live in Honduras and call me dumb if you want to, but I have not been able to find a way to cash out here, hell I can't even receive money via Paypal so anything I have on Steem (not much) is just there wishing I can get to it.
