Sometimes the difference between good or bad only consists of it's quantity.
Take water for instance, drinking water when you need it is good...drowning in too much water is bad for you.

This seems to be a nice example applied to the use of digital tools. 
Using digital tools as your servant might be useful to your artistic work, but having digital tools as your master is something that you share with so many others and therefore is nothing that you should be proud of.
It is all about about the mixture of technique and the touch of the human hand and soul. That's why fractals made in your hard drive look so cold and only once that you start mixing with other elements they are warming up.
