>"Don't you care about my well-being?" Sophia asked.

>"Of course," Derril said with a grin. He stood in the grocery aisle butter pecan ice cream in one hand, his cell phone in the other. "My only question, sweetie, was how I should keep the ice cream frozen while I run across town for the french fries."

>Sophia sniffed loudly into the phone. "I...I suppose it's not very practical is it?"

>Derril tried to cover the laugh that was building in his chest. His wife of four years sat alone in their apartment, five months pregnant with more cravings than hours in the day.

>"No, it's not..."

>She let out another wimper.

>"But it's fine! I will drop this off at home, and..."

>"Derril?" Sophia asked, but the line had gone dead.

My Ending

Sophia tried to call back but it went straight to voicemail. 

Now she was worried, was she gonna get her ice cream, was she gonna get her fries, Derril was going to be worrying about his well-being if he didn't get home in the next fifteen minutes. 

The door burst open, ice cream in hand, he just drove eight miles on a flat tire, so he could get the butter pecan to the love of his life.

Sophia, startled by Derril, breathed a sigh of relief and asked, "Where's my fries?"

Without saying a word, Derril handed Sophia the ice cream and headed out the door. Before Sophia could say anything else, he was gone. 

She stared at the gallon of ice cream, and thought, "he could've gotten me a spoon!"

Just as Sophia waddled her ass into the kitchen, Derril burst threw the door again, fries in hand. "How did you do that Honey?" Sophia exclaimed.

"Grub Hub!" I called them when I got the flat tire. "They brought me the fries, and it only cost me $28 plus a new tire and rim!"

"Oh Honey, I love you!"
