<html> <p>The intent of setting up the Stewards of Terra Mater was to encourage new users to steemit, particularly if they were blogging about off-grid living, spirituality and other issues surrounding freedom, prosperity and being proper Stewards of Mother Earth (Terra Mater). I wanted to encourage new users so that they can get themselves established with the goal of them reaching 1 million vests (500 steem) which would make them a minnow. As their success grows, so to would their influence with other bloggers. </p> <p>So how are they doing? I've taken the four longest stewards and plotted their progress on a chart. I left off the others as they are just getting started and there was only a week or two worth of data which would not show up on this graph scale.</p> <p><img src="https://i.imgsafe.org/7c/7c2c9511dd.jpeg" width="791" height="473"/></p> <p>The moment they were invited into the Stewards of Terra Mater, their growth increased significantly. The chart paints a very clear message: By helping red fish / plankton with delegating steem and bringing awareness to their blog, a whale, dolphin or other minnows can have a SIGNIFICANT impact on their blog and impact their success within this platform in a positive way. </p> <p>The results are startling and clear. My account has been a minnow throughout this whole process. With the support of @fulltimegeek I took the steem that I had and paid it forward with 4200 steem currently delegated members of the group. I encourage others who are members of the Stewards of Gondor to do the same. By using our steem to build people up rather than attacking, we make this platform stronger so that the bullies have very little influence or impact on the community. </p> <p>I've encouraged the Stewards of Terra Mater to do this organically, meaning no usury, buying upvotes, etc as that builds wealth but does not build a following of users who are interested in the blog and will support it in the long term. I am very happy with the success of the team. We will have our first minnow in no time. Steem on my friends. I hope to add more to the list as steem comes available. My dear friend, @fulltimegeek has also delegated steem to the vast majority of the Stewards of Terra Mater, making them members of #stewardsofgondor as well. His generosity knows no bounds at this point in time. So I would leave them on the list. It does not hurt as it brings awareness to their work as well. The last I checked, @fulltimegeek had delegated steem to 50 people. I used the steemit delegation checker to look at the list as it also highlights how much steem was delegated as well. I do appreciate this great initiative taken for the minnows like me, who wants active participation in discussions to make the community better with the passage of time. But Bandwidth issue is a BIG hurdle for us because the Value of SP is less than 500. So great Step taken by @fulltimegeek and @wwf eloborated this beautifully. While I agree that support for the plankton is a problem, I think putting the onus on me to solve the problem is problematic. The problem is with each individual and I cannot solve the problem. However, I can lead by example in the hopes that other people are influenced to do the same. To be blunt, the people that I have delegated steem to are those who got out there, commented on my posts, participated and got noticed. They worked on building a relationship with me that was healthy, respectful and fully engaging. You want plankton to get noticed? That is one idea on how it is done. I blame nobody. Self governance demands that I take full responsibility for my life. Others must find within themselves to do the same. This is not the fault of the whales, dolphins or plankton. There is no 'fault' here at all. This is about relationships and learning how to engage!

My friend, it may sound counter intuitive, but people that get out there and comment on other peoples blogs get noticed. I'm going to write a post about this today. I don't have any time to go searching and reading other peoples blogs, mainly because I spend so much time writing mine, interacting with people who make comments and supporting the Stewards of Terra Mater. I know several people who comment on blogs to get noticed, build a relationship, then start their blogs. They do well. Check out my post later on today and see if it helps. Hang in there. The pond is small right now, but it is getting bigger and bigger.

Steemit is truly revolutionary, thanks to the generosity extended to me I am able to open the door for others to come join us and that provides a kind of fulfillment I can't quite put into words. I still have much work to do in order to better help the newbies I'm inviting, even though I'm still a newbie myself I've spent many years networking on facebook which gives me a bit of a headstart on what to do and how to do it. I want to make a post eventually about how Ben stewarts films including Ungrip rocketed me into the path I'm on and ultimately lead to me being offgrid. Regardless of my knowing you through facebook or steemit you have radically changed my life and a simple 'thankyou' does not do it justice.
