These days, everything divides us between ourselves and every Saturday night a demonstration is held - there is one institution that has always connected us all - educational television.

Who did not grow up on the great series?

The Heart, Pinocchio, The Moomins, Nils Holgerson, The Catacats, The Bull Mush, The Wizard of Oz, Shaltiel Quack, The Dardards, and lots of other cartoon friends

And of course the unforgettable source productions - a nice butterfly, a moment with Dudley, the house of Pistach, three four and five and a half, and that's it, Zap for the first, not service, a matter of time and more. 

The educational programs are deeply rooted in our childhood memories and have really shaped our image. Now that I am a mother, my little son is also watching all the assets of these sheep (and thank God for YouTube!)

And today, after 52 years, the educational television broadcasts have ended. "Thank you, our loyal viewers, for finding a warm home, giving our heart and soul," read a farewell message on the screen.

 

According to Ynet : 

The mythological channel will be replaced by a channel for children and youth, which will also be broadcast on Channel 23 and will be called "Educational Site". At the beginning of the channel, the channel will be based on reruns of children's and youth series, and will include programs that have been broadcast so far, such as "The Children of the Tree House", "The Diggers", "Galileo" and "Schuster and Schuster". Adult programs in educational production such as "New Evening", "Communication Portfolio" and "Arranging" have ended. The Educational Archives in the field of adult productions, which includes "Close relatives," "Room 101," "Cross Israel" and more, will be broadcast here and will be broadcast there according to the schedule.

The decision to shut down educational television was accepted as part of the dismantling of the IBA and the establishment of the new public broadcasting corporation. Education TV employees went to battle to prevent the expected closure, but in a Knesset vote last month it was decided that the law on the subject would not change.
