There is one very distinctive weapon in East Kalimantan, especially Kutai is Mandau. This weapon is very popular because of its uniqueness. Therefore, these weapons are often purchased for display in the houses of the kolektot.

Mando (Mandau) is a sharp weapon like a machete derived from Dayak culture
in Kalimantan. Mandau is one of Indonesia's traditional weapons.

Unlike the usual machete, Mandau has carvings - carvings in the blade is not sharp. Often also found additional holes in the blade which is covered with brass or copper in order to beautify the Mandau blade.

Dayak equator. Dau means weapon. Man means courage. So, who is wearing this weapon is believed to have high confidence.
