Video Games are for kids!

As far back as I can remember, I have loved video games.  I remember the first atari something-or-other my dad brought home and playing space invaders on it.  I probably come by it honestly because I remember how much he loved them, and how he used to take the games he bought us for christmas and hide and play them.  "Those are kid's games!" I remember my mother saying.

We progressed through console to console til I had my own money and I transitioned over to building computers to play.  I have ALWAYS had a gaming machine for the last 20 years and it is funny that my first machine (486/DX66 cost me $1,500 and the latest machine I bought (Core-I5/16gb/geforce GTX 1060) cost me about the same.

Well, I still play those video games.  Right now, we are playing Tom Clancy's: The Division for some simple fun PVE goodness and beer drinkin.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Clancy%27s_The_Division  Kills me how far the ambient graphics have become.

Either the interface is rather complicated, I rushed through any tutorial to play with friends, or I am just not a kid anymore.

This is me checking out 'the moog's' ass apparently.

I plan on continuing to be a kid if that is the case.  We are even bringing computers over to a friend's house this weekend so I can get some gaming in amidst a trip to the big city for another regatta.  Nothing like too many beers and childish games and killing eathother long hours into the night.  Should make the regatta a little more challenging but I double book for maximum adventure.

nice article, yeah games have moved into a higher form of media. i write stuff too and for gaming sites. October looking to be a big time again for some big games. I am mainly an MMO guy but that Genre has been deal lately and we are waiting for Crowfall.

Otherwise, PVP/FPS games are the best for us at Lan parties and we have played Diablo 3 and MEch Warrior and such as filler and fun.

Hopefully the next wave of crypto games are actually good!

I am a gamer, I play Overwatch on Ps4 mostly, but I also really enjoy a game called Polytopia for Android, its kinda like Civilization 1 or 2, from way back. 

I love most games but these are my main time sinks these days. 

Actually tonight I am hoping to trade my ps4 for a ps4 pro, pretty excited. 

I am 37 and have no plans to quit gaming, but it is important in my view to prioritize responsibility before fun, so if my kids are awake or my wife is available I wont play, but i they are NOT avail... GAME TIME!

Also next week, my friends and I, are going to PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) in Seattle Washington! Dude if you've never been you should, they have that one every year, but also now they have several other PAX EAST (Boston), PAX SOUTH (nevada or something) , and PAX Australia I think.

Ah yes I have had friends go to those.  Used to love the Penny Arcade web comic too.  I would be east but my out of town tradeshows are limited to work mainly nowadays.
