Prepare your learning environment. The environment matters a lot more than we are inclined to assume. What you surround yourself with can either encourage the desire to learn or discourage it.

Can I practice at home? Of course, most likely, only at home and it will work out. After all, it does not require extra time on the road, and everything you need is at hand. If you can, buy a comfortable chair and do not skimp on it - you will spend a lot of time in it. You also need a good desk, lighting, markers, pens, notepads, sticky notes, and a system to organize it all.


Of course, you can easily find an online dictionary, but it is the physical book that has the greatest impact on motivation. When you search for the right word, you will spend so much time searching that you will never forget it. Sometimes speed is not important, but thoughtfulness. The dictionary is needed in order to look into it at the first incomprehensible word. Do not allow a situation in which you read the material and do not understand some of the words in it.


You must highlight everything that is important. If possible, get yourself books and mark the text there with a pen, pencil or marker. Or do the same in your e-book while taking notes.

This is a very important skill and is called active reading. After reading the book, re-read (or better write) all the selected information - this way you will fix it in your memory and will not forget the general content of the book.




Experiment with different methods. Some may seem boring. For example, watching a documentary. However, they are visual and help to consolidate visual images.


When you read serious material with a high level of difficulty, you will find links to books, scientific articles, static sources, and other types of publications that help the author to confirm the facts. Study them and you will get a more detailed understanding of the chosen topic.


This way you can learn a lot. Just imagine how many answers you can get in a short time. Nothing beats one-to-one communication.


It is better to study every day for half an hour than only on Saturday, but all day. This is what psychologists and cognitive scientists say. Of course, when you study all day, you can go through more material and even learn more information than in the first case. However, you will not get into the habit , but this is the main thing here.


Even if you find the most suitable sources to study, you should never think that all the information in them is 100% true.

When you read different tutorials, some of them may contradict each other. Do in-depth research and get to the truth.

A great way to learn something is to be around those who are also learning and talk to them. Find the right forum or community on your social network where you can connect with others.
