My Actifit Report Card: October 7th, 2018

Today was the last day of the Oktoberfest in Munich. This year there were about 100,000 more people, altogether about 6.3 million people.  As almost always I avoid this mass drunkenness and don't let myself be seen there. The picture above is very old indeed, certainly more than 5 years old. Instead I visited a friend today, he has a very beautiful garden in Munich. The apples are already fully ripe and are awaiting to be processed into a delicious apple pie.

Heute war der letzte Tag des Oktoberfestes in München. Dieses Jahr waren es ca. 100 000 Menschen mehr, insgesamt ca. 6,3 Millionen Menschen. Wie fast immer vermeide ich dieses Massenbesäufnis und lass mich dort nicht blicken. Obiges Bild ist schon sehr alt, sicherlich mehr als 5 Jahre alt. Stattdessen besuchte ich heute einen Freund, er hat in München einen sehr schönen Garten. Die Äpfel sind bereits voll reif und warten darauf, dass sie zu einem leckeren Apfelkuchen verarbeitet werden.

Ja, zwischenzeitlich sind es - wenn ich mich nicht irre - für eine Mass (also 1 l Bier) ca. 11 EUR. Ich weiß noch, wie die Mass auf der Wiesn 2 DM gekostet hat. Oh je, da sieht man, wie alt ich schon bin . . . . :-)

Hallo. Es ist eine gute Idee nicht aufs Octoberfest zu gehen. Ich gehe manchmal hier in San Diego zu dem Deutschem Club. Da sind dann viele Americaner in Lederhosen und Dirdnl die drinken gerne viel Bier. 😂
Das gute is das sie einen Ochsen am Spiess braten und das schmeckt gut.

hahaha - Ich bin in Coburg geboren und aufgewachsen. Habe eine Lehre in Murnau gemacht :) Ich bin jetzt aber schon 37 oder 38 Jahre in der USA. Also viel laenger als ich in Deutschland war. Meine Geschwister sind noch in Europa. Brueder in Deutschland und meine Schwester in Italien.

Ich war einmal ganz kurz aufm Oktoberfest, also um es mir einfach mal anzuschauen. So Massenbesäufnisse äh -veranstaltungen sind auch absolut nicht meins. 

Ich geh schon immer nicht gerne am Samstag in die Stadt zum Einkaufen, das ist mir schon zu viel. Gestern hatte ich mal Lust über den Herbstmarkt zu bummeln... aber das war mir auch schnell zu viel....

Auf dem Oktoberfest kommt noch hinzu, dass du nicht normal in den Straßen gehen kannst. Es wird gedrängelt, gezogen, geschubbst, besonders am Wochenende. Einigermaßen OK ist es am Vormittag, wenn die Wiesn öffnet, da ist es noch relativ ruhig. Aber auch das brauch ich nicht mehr.

Ich habe es ein paar mal mitgemacht. Dieses Festzelt gedrängel ist absolut nicht meins. Wenn man aber gemütlich **unter der Woche draußen** über die Wiesn schlendert ist es ganz ok. Webei wenn der Durst und der Hunger kommen, war es das meistens mit der Gemütlichkeit. Den "Kotzhügel" sollte man aber tunlichst meiden :-D
