Yes enjoy that time. My son is 18 and there was a while there where we were not enjoying as many things in common. Lately he has got into photography and we are really bonding together over it.

I worry about when that day comes. I don’t think it inevitably has to come, but I know that it often does. I grew really distant from my father in my teens and still have a hard time just connecting and being with him. I’d like to avoid that with my children if possible. Sharing a hobby would be helpful. 18 is a great time to get interested in photography. That’s nice that you and your son have that now!
