Yeah, the upper end is ridiculous. I would never spend that much on a regular basis. And yeah, I mostly felt welcome and many people were very nice and friendly. That being said many people were quite rude, especially for running establishments. Definitely not the American view of customer service. 2 or 3 times I had to become more intense than I normally am and tell someone something in a very serious tone that I don't normally use. It was funny that they seemed to respect that though as long as i was being reasonable. There is a tiny bit of Anti-American sentiment to deal with but I understand it. Whoops! That wasn't your question. The cannabis and fungus tourism seems alive and well to me!
