Seems like a pretty menacing and intimidating entity that exists and looms in the shadows. 

I guess some may see it as people hiding from themselves as we have a deep raging creature within all of us that is there to always repress, supress and beat us down.

This may be with constant worry, anxiety or telling yourself you have no self-worth. Most of us try to hide from this black looming figure but if anything we should be confident enough to rebuke and conquer it.
