I also tend to be pessimistic at times and it really bothers me. Especially when the weather is bad for long time, so is my mood and perception of the world. The thing is that even though I tend to be pessimistic sometimes (everyone does in my opinion) I usually try to help pessimistic people to see the world through more 'colorful glasses'. Not everything is black or white.

You are right with the media. I stopped watching the news as they were making me depressed. All what they were showing was related to horrible things happening everywhere in the world. I feel much better when I know less to be honest :)

I agree with being careful while talking to such people. We should absolutely avoid judging as we don't know their situation. I truly believe that no one choose to be pessimistic. Something must have happened to them and this is the impact that it had on their personalities.
