I've been waiting for this news for some time. I can't wait to get home and download this.

# Affinity Designer is now available for the iPad.

For those of you who don't know, Affinity Designer is a vector app/program with real potential to challenge Adobe Illustrator. And best of all, it's incredibly affordable. The computer version is only $60 one time fee and, for their launch on the iPad sale, the app is selling for $13.99 (regular $19.99)

I think one of the key features that Designer has is the ability to switch to pixel painting right in the program instead of changing to another program. With Illustrator, you'd have to switch to Photoshop to do any pixel work. The pixel layers can be masked inside the vector layer allowing you to really add a lot of depth to vector drawings workout a lot of extra work.
