Gold has been a store of value for centuries. Before gold ETFs it also had large entrance and exit fees. Even now, go to your local gold dealer and buy the physical metal, you will see what I am talking about as you have to pay significantly above spot. And these price markups currently are as low as they have ever been... Similarly, bitcoin's will come down over time (even though by comparison to other store of value markets they are not that high currently).
