Good point. No, you wouldn't want to use the entire article for a source. How much depends on the article. If it's a really long article with several graphic pieces, you can get away with using more. If it's a short article, I wouldn't take more than a paragraph, or maybe even a sentence. You have to strike a balance between making your audience happy and feeding them useful content and respecting the moral rights to the work of the owner from whom you're borrowing. That's a very tricky thing.

And, of course, it is most certainly an art form to break up your long-form content with images, subheads, bullets, and the other elements of a good page. You're thinking along the right track!
